some_textWÓRLDWIDE- So yes, it is finished now. The game I thought I had in the backseat of my car on release night is finally here, and all I had to do was pay THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND WAIT SIX DAMN YEARS.

For years the world map of Azeroth had been a testament to things unfinished.  When WoW launched in November of 2004, it left many things and zones out of the game that had been instrumental in the story telling of Warcraft 3. Several zones simply weren’t accessible. Burning Crusade introduced Quelthalas and Ghostlands at long last, as well as lore mainstays Illidan, Kiljaeden, Vashj, Kaelthas, Maeiv, Khadgar, and like a bunch more. Wrath brought us Northland and Arthas. And now, after six years, and hundreds of dollars in paid subscription and expansion costs, we finally get to experience the game most of us pretty much thought we had on November 23, 2004. At last the holes of Hyjal, Twilight Highlands, Gilneas and Northern Plaguelands have been filled… wait a minute…

Sorry just got tripped up around that Northern Plaguelands thing for a second, I didn’t get into beta but I’m pretty sure Blizzard wouldn’t dedicate an entire expansion to adding the missing zones in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms and still leave one unfinished. Especially since, you know, Northern Plaguelands would be so important in the story of the Scourge retreat. Im sure its a super cool zone that we can only now finally access with the Scourge temporarily on the weakened. I wonder what we will find there! After all these years of not knowing. And when we do go in, what has surely for the last ten years lore-wise, been a scourge-stronghold, well, just what has been going on in there! Can’t wait to play that zone, although I didn’t hear much about it from beta testers…

Regardless, we get two bonus zones as a ‘sorry about this’ which take place underwater and look super cool. And Malfurion is here! So now we have just about the whole cast of the game. Cool. Can’t wait to play!

Did I mention that some goblins have joined the Horde and the people of Gilneas, try not to be too shocked, have all turned into worgen! Noooo! That’ll be good. They are joining the alliance so they will finally have a race of people that isn’t just human, purple human, short human, shorter human, and blue goat face. Certainly they won’t be allowed to be in human form. Then they wouldn’t really be worgen would they? They’d just be cursed humans. Didn’t hear anything like that from beta anyway, so all systems should be go.

So yes, it is finished now. The game I thought I had in the backseat of my car on release night is finally here, and all I had to do was pay THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND WAIT SIX DAMN YEARS.

Regardless the game has been of quality, lets hope they do an expansion.
